Lesley creates site-specific dance installations and guides workshops in coastal California and the Lake Tahoe Basin. Calling upon the natural landscape to inform her work and guide her movement, she develops rich dialogues between humans and the environment. Through this creative process, personal life themes are revealed and explored, often connecting with universal themes.
Lesley worked closely with dance pioneer, Anna Halprin (1920-2021) for over 25 years as a student and performer and is deeply influenced by her teachings. She is trained in the Halprin Life/Art Process and is a certified yoga instructor. Lesley lives on the Central Coast of California with her husband and two sons.
